My name is John Hooper, the CEO and lead translator of Lemnisca LLC, a Japanese->English localization company that specializes in the translation of Japanese software, particularly visual novels. I have participated as a localization director and translator on the official releases of Root Double -Before Crime * After Days- Xtend Edition and Dies irae Amantes amentes, but I still have much more in store for the future!

I’ve been a fan of video games for as long as I can remember, but it wasn’t until I was 17 that I discovered and developed my love for visual novels, starting with Tsukihime. My general interests include reading, playing video games, writing fiction, watching movies and anime, as well as cooking. I enjoy a wide variety of music (particularly classical piano and bossa nova jazz). I graduated college with a major in Japanese, and lived in Japan for two years after that. It was there that I worked for Regista.
